WRAIR and the U.S. Army Medical Research and Development Command played a key role in the COVID-19 response, building upon WRAIR's ability to rapidly respond to outbreaks on an accelerated timeline for the development of diagnostics, vaccines and treatments.
WRAIR closely partners with researchers at other U.S. government agencies, and provided leadership for the oversight of vaccine development efforts.
