The Joint West Africa Research Group (JWARG) works to leverage existing research platforms and partnerships in Nigeria, Ghana and Liberia to improve biopreparedness in West Africa, focusing on infectious disease research, countermeasure product development and biosurveillance.
EIDB established the Partnership for Research in the Middle East, called PRIME, in collaboration with the Jordanian Royal Medical Services and the Jordan Ministry of Health, with initiatives focused on training, improving biopreparedness and upgrading laboratories and equipment.
